I have been operating as a webmaster since 1996. A lot has changed since then, but webmasters are always looking for free tools, trying to solve a problem, or looking for a site that they forgot to bookmark.
Driverweb is a small site dedicated to providing access to some of these tools and tips. There are things that might be pretty obscure, or that only a few people are having trouble with, but I hope that my site can give some assistance to those folks.
Most of what I have accomplished online has been because of terrific sites where I was able to get help when I had trouble, get tips from other users, and take tutorials to learn a new skill or sharpen an existing one. I reference a number of the sites here that have been very helpful to me along the way.
This site probably isn't for the advanced user, but is mainly geared toward the beginner Webmaster, or the webmaster that is moving from basic HTML or WYSIWIG (what you see is what you get) tools into the world of dynamic sites, database, hand coding, and basic SEO (Search Engine Optimization) practices.
You will notice that I have a leaning toward Coldfusion as the scripting language. I know that it is a great place to start when getting into dynamic site development. A good grasp of HTML is enough to get you moving toward developing dynamic sites using Coldfusion.
I hope you like the site. Feel free to drop me a line.
